Black Belt Exams

We will be holding our April black belt exams this Saturday, April 9th, 2022.  Exams begin at 9:30 a.m.  Guests are welcome to attend. Seating will be limited so please feel free to bring your own chairs. Anytime a student earns their black belt or advanced degree it’s a special moment. Shivani will be earning her first degree black belt this weekend. She is the younger sister of Kartik, who earned his black belt at St. Louis Family Martial Arts Academy a few years ago. There are also several students who will be earning their second degree black belts this weekend. Among them are four students who tested for their first degree black belts during the initial COVID lockdown of 2020. They tested that day in their living rooms, kitchens, basements, driveways, and front yards.  We did their exams that day by zoom, Facebook, FaceTime, and phone video. Their exams were facilitated at home or virtually by family members and some of our black belt staff.  That was some day and they all handled it with true Black Belt Attitude! They are a very special group and I’m excited to have them testing again two years later for their next level.
